Andy Meyer is a student at Augsburg College working towards his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education.  He has been playing the Saxophone for over 12 years and has also studied the Clarinet, Flute, and many other instruments.  Andy graduated from Andover High School with honors in 2011 and earned his Associate in Fine Arts Degree in Saxophone Performance from Anoka Ramsey Community College, where he studied with the current head of Saxophone Pedagogy at the U of M, Preston Duncan.  He has played Saxophone, Clarinet, and Flute in Pit Orchestras in college and privately through Lyric Arts in Anoka, MN.  He also has played in college ensembles on Sax, Clarinet, and Flute in all styles including Concert Band, Big Band, Swing, Latin, Orchestral, and Rock n' Roll as well as performed as a member of small, large, and chamber ensembles as well as a soloist most recently performing the Glazounov Saxophone Concerto with the Augsburg Symphony Orchestra.  Andy has been featured as a guest artist in several jazz combos and rock groups as well as operating his own jazz combo.  Andy also manages, performs with, and arranges for his horn line Riverside Horns with whom he has played with many bands at venues including First Avenue, 7th Street Entry, the Turf Club, and the Ordway Performance Hall.
