Caitlin Laszewski is a singer, songwriter, and flautist originally from Lino Lakes, MN. Caiti is a multi-instrumentalist, and has also performed on guitar, bass, and drums. She has taken her country-flavored pop sound to outdoor festivals, coffee shops, talent contests, and bars throughout Minnesota and Iowa. Caiti was chosen as a 2008 NBC’s Nashville Star regional finalist for the Upper Midwest region, and competed at nationals in Austin, TX. She is a 2011 graduate of McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, MN, where she received a BA cum laude in Music Business and minored in Music Production. While at McNally Smith, she took a performance-heavy course load full of ensembles, lessons, and songwriting, and has expanded her musical influences from country and blues to hard rock and metal. Caiti also began using the flute to improvise in a rock-band setting, and has been using this skill to write, record, and perform with original world-rock project The Human Empire. Caiti performs her own pop music under the stage name Caiti Allison, and also sings lead in the group POWERSLAVE: A Tribute to Iron Maiden. Her favorite colors are pink and orange, and she lives downtown Saint Paul.
