Cyrus Wolff is a versatile performer on the guitar, having experience playing jazz, classical, folk, blues, and rock music in a variety of venues and ensembles. As leader of the folk/bluegrass ensemble Cyrus Wolff and the Howlers, Cyrus performed at the Rum River Festival and at the Tuesday in the Parks concert series in his hometown of Princeton, Minnesota. He also performs regularly at Jones-Harrison Residence, and has played guitar and bass in many churches throughout Minnesota. Cyrus is an experienced classical guitar soloist, and performs frequently at weddings, award ceremonies, dinners and private events. Since 2012 Cyrus has been a cast member at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, performing guitar as a wandering minstrel. He has also performed at Station 4 with the alternative rock band Random Vandalism. Cyrus graduated from Anoka-Ramsey Community College in the spring of 2013 with an AFA degree in music. He is currently pursuing a degree in guitar performance from the University of Saint Thomas, where he studies with Dr. Chris Kachian. Cyrus has also attended master-classes with Xuefei Yang and Dweezil Zappa, and has studied with Dr. O. Nick Raths and Dr. Jason Vanselow.
