Jenna Laman started playing the piano when she was 9 years old, and she took formal piano lessons for 14 years. Growing up, Jenna attended several music camps. Her passion for music and playing the piano led her to Glendale College in Arizona, during which she played many concerts and earned a 4.0 grade point average in her music studies. After college, Jenna started a band and played numerous shows around the Twin Cities, including at the Fine Line Music Café, The Turf Club and The 400 Bar.
Jenna Laman’s passion for music was evident at a very young age. She began singing in the Church choir at 7 years old and started performing at the local Children’s Theatre around the same time. When she was 11 years old, Jenna starred as Annie in the Children’s Theatre’s performance of the hit musical “Annie.” Throughout her childhood, Jenna attended several music camps. Her talents brought her to sing in front of a crowd of more than 10,000 people in New York City for a world renowned singing competition where she placed 3rd out of more than 20,000 contestants, and to later perform “God Bless America” at a Twins playoff game. Her passion for music, singing and playing the piano continued as she grew older, leading her to attend Glendale College in Arizona. While at Glendale College, Jenna earned a 4.0 GPA in her music studies, all while continuing to play piano and sing in many concerts. After college, Jenna started a band and played numerous shows around the Twin Cities, including at the Fine Line Music Café, The Turf Club and The 400 Bar. Jenna has dedicated much of her life to writing songs on her piano and singing those songs, which range in style from classical to rock. She also has experience recording in a studio, and has recorded and produced many of her own original songs. In addition to her many years of learning and performing, Jenna has taught piano and voice lessons for over 7 years to individuals of all ages. It is her strong desire to share her passion for music and singing with those who want to learn!
