Rick Dimmel has a B.A. in Jazz Studies from Bemidji State University. He enjoys teaching and playing Jazz, Rock, Folk, Blues, Country, Irish and Classical, performing with bands as well as in solo/duo acoustic performances. He teaches all skill levels, and can include theory, improvisation and composition in the lesson plans. Rick has recorded two full-length albums of original music, singing and playing multiple instruments on both albums. Rick’s diverse experience lets him teach many instruments: guitar, bass, piano, ukulele, mandolin, banjo, dobro, harmonica, and voice. He offers both weekly and bi-weekly lessons. rock/original group Blue Ribbon Bandits. He also plays every Sunday at Gethsemane Church in Maplewood.
